Massage Therapies
Traditional Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is based on the Western concepts of anatomy and physiology as opposed to energy work. It can be slow and gentle, or vigorous and bracing, depending on the session goals. This modality utilizes lotions or oils for gliding strokes.
Swedish massage combines various hands-on techniques including gliding, kneading, and cross-fiber friction to break up muscle knots, called adhesions.
Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, aiding the body in the detoxification process, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy uses essential oils derived from plants to achieve therapeutic benefits and are thought to have healing properties. These oils are the concentrated essences taken from the flowers, fruit, seeds, leaves and bark of certain plants. There are about 400 essential oils, but only about 40 are commonly used in aromatherapy. Aromatherapists believe aromatherapy can boost well being, relieve stress and help to refresh your body.
Before your first aromatherapy massage session, your massage therapist will conduct an initial consultation with you to learn about your desired outcome. They might ask about the current state of your work life, home life, physical health and mental state to learn about what you need.

Our method : deep cleansing (extractions with 75 and 90 minute sessions), exfoliation, lifting facial massage along with specific masks and serums. Our Color Up Facial features our professional products dedicated to reducing inflammation, awakening the skin and working with our body's natural rhythm to give balance back. Glowing skin assured! Body Exfoliation
Our various body treatments are designed to tone, tighten, and nourish. Body Sugaring
Body sugaring is an all-natural, ancient hair epilation method utilized by the Egyptians that promotes healthier skin as well as unmatched results in the amount of hair removed as well as the length of time in between sessions.
We utilize the method of "cold sugaring", which provides the most superior results in comparison to warm sugar. 100% organic and well sourced, cold sugar, creates less histamine reaction and a far more comfortable service. We are proud to be the only spa certified in Iowa working with our backbar line, Jessa Skin.
Several sessions are required for the overall reduction in hair growth. One wonderful thing about sugar is that it seeps into the follicle, allowing for the sugar to envelop the hair (not skin) in the anagen phase of hair growth (The first stage of hair growth, that is widely missed by wax.). The method is far more comfortable than traditional waxing for many reasons; one of them being that the sugar does not adhere to live skin cells, only the hair.
Typical results range from 3-6 weeks, with much longer after several sessions. This method is also much more "Summer-friendly." As little as 1/8 of an inch of growth can easily be removed, as opposed to 1/4 or 1/2 inch required for waxing. For premium results, please exfoliate 48 hours before the session. Fruit Acid Peels

Brow and Lash Tinting
Tinting the lashes and brows is an excellent add-on service. The semi-permanent dye can last around 2 weeks. Think of it as a glaze for the hairs. During a brow tinting, an esthetician first applies a gel barrier to the skin surrounding the hair. This protects the skin and prevents the dye from bleeding onto it. Then the tint is painted directly onto the brow. The dye processes for 10 minutes, and any residue is gently removed with a wet cloth. Keep in mind, the tint doesn't work like a tattoo. The dye only colors the existing hairs. The results can last between 4-6 weeks.
Many people have lashes that fade at the ends, when they are tinted, they can seem a lot longer. The treatment is also helpful for on-the-go clients. You can run out the door with no mascara, hit the gym or the beach, and not worry about your mascara running.
If you use self-tanner, it's best to skip it the week before you come in for your service, as the tanner can react badly with the dye.
